I have a quick question for you.
Earlier this year, I hosted a couple of different seminars.
Both were live online events, and I’ve now received several requests to re-host them from folks who weren’t able to make it when they were initially held.
The first one was It Calls to Me: An Act One Seminar. It focused on how to craft an incredible first act to your novel. During the seminar, I drew from examples such as Moana, Star Wars, The Matrix, Harry Potter, and the Wizard of Oz to explore fundamental writer’s craft concepts
essential to starting your story right.
The second seminar was The Use (and Misuse) of Prophecy in Commercial Fiction. This seminar sprung from my experience of seeing aspiring authors misuse prophecy in their fantasy, urban fantasy, and sci-fi novels time and time again. This seminar explored how to avoid those mistakes by effectively using prophecy in fiction
storytelling.
Those were the two seminars I already hosted this year, but here is the thing . . .
I have been working on a brand-new seminar called How to Know if Your Fiction Writing is Good: A Game of 20 Questions. In this seminar, I will cover the 20 questions you can ask yourself after writing a scene to determine whether it is good or not.
All of which brings me back to the one question I have for you . . .
Which seminar should I host next?
Take the one-question survey here!
I appreciate your feedback.
