Prophecy – a magical or divine glimpse into the future.
It’s an excellent genre convention so often used in fantasy fiction.
Unfortunately, it’s a literary technique many, many aspiring authors get dead wrong.
That’s why I’m hosting a seminar this weekend titled: “Use and Misuse of Prophecy in Commercial Fiction.”
I am going to teach you how to use prophecy to:
- Create a surprising climax to your novel, NOT spoil your ending
- Give your characters agency, NOT rob them of it
- Encourage reader identification with your protagonist, NOT distance readers from them
- Emphasize your story’s world-building, NOT create plot and logic holes
- And much more!
You’ll definitely want to attend the seminar if you are writing fantasy, science fiction, or any other commercial fiction with a plot that offers a glimpse into your protagonist’s future.
The seminar is taking place this Sunday, March 7, 2021, from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm Eastern time.
This training session will be a live presentation via Zoom, so you will be able to ask questions about your manuscript and interact with me in real-time.
Get registered now, and I’ll see you there.
