Hi ,
Last week, I sent six (!) emails announcing that I’d soon be hosting a live online seminar where I'll be teaching authors how to write an incredible first act.
Those emails also explained I will read and provide analysis of the attendees’ entire first act of their manuscript (up to 20,000 words).
Despite the many notices, I still received emails from folks letting me know they had missed the deadline to register.
Given how many people are locked down at home these days, now really is the perfect time for writers to invest in themselves and focus on further developing their craft.
With that in mind, I don’t want anyone to miss out on this excellent opportunity to push their writing careers forward.
As such, I have decided to re-open registration for today only.
The event is taking place tomorrow at 1 pm Eastern time, so today is absolutely the last chance to sign up.
You can register right here.
At the seminar, you’re going to learn how to:
- utilize archetypes to quickly establish characters and encourage viewer identification
- align your story beats to the Hero’s Journey to ensure maximum story impact
- continually and effortlessly raise the stakes before the real adventure has even begun
- execute the five commandments of storytelling
- elegantly establish world-building without info-dumping
- and much more!
The is not a webinar or a video course. This will be a live online Zoom video conference call. You will be able to interact with me in real time and ask questions about both the material covered in the seminar as well as your own manuscript.
In addition to the seminar, I will personally read the first act of your manuscript (regardless of whether it is currently in its first draft or its tenth!). You’ll then receive a one-page critique so that you will know exactly where your story is firing on all cylinders and where it can be improved.
Do not miss this opportunity to absolutely nail the most crucial part of your book: its opening pages.
Register right now, and I’ll see you at the seminar tomorrow!
Your pal in writing,
Kevin T. Johns, writing coach
