Hi ,
I have written over a dozen books, and I’m proud of all of them.
BUT . . .
If I had Marty McFly’s DeLorean, or maybe Bill and Ted’s phone booth, or even that weird box thing from Primer, I would go back in time and fix the first act of my first novel, The Page Turners.
Act one of that book ends about 35% of the way into the novel. Looking back with the knowledge I now have, I wish I had trimmed that opening act by 10%.
But I didn’t know then what I know now.
I went into my first novel with a Master’s Degree in English Literature, but not nearly the breath or depth of writer’s craft knowledge I wish I had had.
I didn’t know there were writing coaches back then.
Online seminars and courses were barely a thing!
I was flying by the seat of my pants, relying on instinct and gut feel to write that first book.
The result was pretty good, but it could have been better.
Luckily, you don’t have to make the same mistake I did.
You don’t need to worry about a time machine.
You can nail your first act right now.
All you have to do is register for It Calls to Me: An Act One Seminar.
I have been emailing you about the seminar all week, so you probably have most of the details already.
Now you just need to take action.
Today is the last day to register, so don’t wait.
Sign-up today and learn how to NAIL the opening of your novel.
I’ll see you there,
Your pal in writing,
Kevin T. Johns, writing coach
