Hi there,
As the subject line suggests, I have decided to poke my head out of the quarantine bunker.
I published episode 107 of The Writing Coach podcast right as the lockdown kicked in, and I have been on radio silence ever since.
Given the uncertainty of these times, it didn’t feel right to me to be sending out emails or publishing podcasts. While I appreciate the steadfastness of the folks continuing to produce content over these last few months, I have instead focused on my family and my day to day work.
That said, it’s been several months now, and I’m getting antsy.
At some point, we all need to re-engage with the world in some manner, included me.
So to that end… um … Hi there! How have you been?
If things have been less than fabulous on your end, don’t worry, I get it. Believe me. As of a father of three children, I know just how challenging this lockdown has been. When I hear about people being “bored” in lockdown, I can’t help but feel envy. These have been some of the most stressful months of my life.
But stress or boredom, lockdown or no lockdown, at some point we all need to focus on our writing, right?
And so I’m re-engaging with you, and with the writing world at large.
Luckily, while I have been hobbiting it up here in Bag End, other awesome folks have been putting cool new activities for writers.
For example, my buddy J. Thorn, founder of the Author Success Mastermind, is getting ready to launch an awesome new 5-day writing challenge next month.
The challenge is called “Super Charge Your Scene,” and you get all the details about it from my affiliate link right here.
If you have been writing up a storm these last couple months, the challenge will be right up your alley.
Or, if you are like me and have been in hermit mode for a few months, this is an excellent opportunity to get back involved with your creative work.
In that same vein, I’m getting back on the horse and committing to sending you emails more regularly. So keep an eye on that inbox!
Your pal in writing and quarantine,
Kevin Johns, writing coach
