Hey there fellow writer,
I’m thrilled to introduce you to the latest member of my family!
Holly Catherine Leia Johns was born last Friday at 3:50 am. She weighed 6 pounds and 14 ounces.
She and her mom are now home from the hospital, and both are happy and healthy.
Having a third child is exciting,
terrifying, exhausting, exhilarating, and a little baffling.
Every time I look at Holly’s tiny little face, there is a slightly surreal feeling, and I find myself asking, “Is this really happening? Did I really create that little person?”
Come to think of it, parenting is a lot like writing a
novel. It’s extremely challenging, and also extremely rewarding – though rarely in the ways you expect it to be.
