This week I co-hosted a webinar from a hospital room.
Afterwards, several people emailed to ask why I didn't just cancel the presentation.
The answer is simple: I didn't cancel because helping you achieve your author goals is my escape plan.
You
see, in addition to my writing business, I also work a full-time job as a federal public servant. It's a well-paying and low pressure job with great benefits and a wonderful pension.
And it also happens to be crushing my soul.
The job doesn't facilitate me being my best self. It doesn't allow me to help others the way I want to help them. And it prevents me from making the type of impact on the world that I want
to make.
And so I want out.
Maybe you feel the same way?
Maybe you always dreamed of being a novelist, but ended up a banker, or a mechanic, or a cubicle dweller (like me).
It's happens to many of us.
But just because it's so common doesn't mean we have to accept it as our destiny.
I certainly don't intend to spend the next 30 years
in a cubicle, and I hope you don't either.
My escape plan can be your escape plan too.
It's all about turning our passions into our professions.
As a writing coach, I'm building a business in which I help authors achieve their dreams of writing and publishing novels. That's my passion.
What's yours?
If you are passionate about being a
published author, it's perfect, because it means we can work together to help each other live the lives we were meant to lead.
I can help you write your novel and build your author business, and, in doing so, you will help me build my coaching business. It's a beautiful reciprocal relationship.
A big part of building your author business is learning how to market yourself and your books. That's why I partnered with
blogging coach Jenna Dalton this week.
In the program, she is going to share with you exactly how you can take those first critical steps towards
building your author business by growing an email list, developing authority, and, ultimately, selling more books.
I've put my escape plan in motion. I've started building my business. I've taken definitive steps towards quitting my day job.
Now it's your turn.
Remember, first steps are always the most difficult, but they are often the most rewarding as well.
By enrolling in Jenna's program, you won't
just be making a smart investment in the development of your marketing skills. You'll also be getting a step-by-step system that will walk you through the entire novel writing process from idea creation all the way through to completed manuscript (at a fraction of the regular cost!).
