Economy of Fear is the sequel to my young adult horror/sci-fi/fantasy mash-up, The Page Turners, about a group book-loving teenagers who accidentally release their favourite villains from the pages of fiction into the real world. Readers have called the book "Freaks and Geeks meets Buffy the Vampire Slayer", and compared it to Stephen King novels like 'Salem's Lot and
It.
One of the reasons I'm so excited to share Economy of Fear with you is because the novel has been written for over a year and a half. I completed the manuscript in early 2014, but put it's publication on hold while I focused on my coaching business, my courses for writers, and my non-fiction books on writing.
It's been wonderful building my writing business, and getting to work with hundreds of writers like you via this newsletter, my courses and books, and my coaching.
Now, as I prepare for the release of Economy of Fear on July 6, I'll be able to share a whole new experience with you: what it's like
to launch a novel!
I've got lots of exciting behind-the-scenes info headed your way over the next six weeks, so stay tuned because this is going to be a blast.
Your pal in writing,
Kevin T. Johns, author and writing coach
