Why I wrote my first novel

Published: Tue, 05/19/15

HiĀ ,

I grew up a child of divorced parents in a small Ontario town.

As an angry teenage punk-rocker, I felt completely disconnected from the rural environment I lived in. The only place I was able to find solace from the difficulties of my life was within the pages of horror, sci-fi, and fantasy books.

As an adult, I crafted my debut novel The Page Turners in hopes of contributing to the world the types of passionate and emotionally resonant stories that brought me such joy and comfort during my often challenging adolescent years.

It was my hope that some teenager out there struggling with family breakdown, bullying, or one of the other challenges the world throws at young people, would discover the book and find comfort in it.

The book has been available in paperback and ebook on Amazon for a couple of years now, but this week it finally became available on kobo.

If you haven't yet had a chance to pick up the book, I would love it if you would grab a copy.
