Making New Year’s resolutions is easy.
Sticking with them through to completion is hard.
Many writers decide to tackle new projects at the beginning of the new year.
The result is often not much different from those who make resolutions to exercise more or stick to a diet.
At first, everything is excellent.
Running on pure enthusiasm, you make significant progress towards your goals in the first few weeks of the year.
But, by the end of January, something has happened . . .
Enthusiasm has waned.
The weather has gotten worse.
And your focus . . . well . . . let’s just say it tends to wander by the time Valentine’s Day rolls around.
